Shortly after my parents left our house Michael's parents were on their way to meet their second grandson (with a third on the way right before Christmas, we can't wait)! I'm so happy I was able to document Rowen with BOTH sets of his grandparents with in the first month of his little life.
I couldn't let my parents leave without snapping a few photos of them and their first grandchild!
This was such a special shoot for me - Jess and I are both expecting babies this summer (don't worry, we're already plotting our littles wedding to one another). It's been so amazing to have someone here that I can reach out to and share this experience with. When she asked me to document the end of this pregnancy I was beyond flattered and excited!
I hope this session gives you all the heart eyes in the world...
The best part about living in a German farm town is the vast amount of wild flowers that sprout up during spring time! Little Fisher was such a good sport for this sweet Mommy+Me session. I mean #gerberbaby in the flesh, am I right?!
Enjoy a few of my favorites from this sweet Mommy+Me session...
If you need insanely beautiful watercolor artwork or someone to fill your graphic design needs, this is your girl! My talented friend, Ashley, allowed me to capture her doing what she does best.

This Christmas was extra special because Michael got to meet our (first) nephew, Lincoln! Getting back to our roots in sunny (but mostly rainy this trip - thank God) southern California is always a nice escape from our German reality...and it helps when your parents live down the street from one another.
On New Years Day Michael's parents hosted a beautiful open house so that we could see friends and family during the last few days of our trip. I couldn't help but capture this sweet face surrounded by those who love him most - we miss you already!
Traditions are something that I'm very adamant about having in our little home of two - hence the importance of our pancake Sunday ritual. I woke up this morning to the sound of Christmas tunes and the smells of maple syrup and chocolate chip pancakes - big heart eyes for my sweet sweet man who indulges in my love of traditions. Happy Sunday!
I hate to admit that it wasn't until we moved to Germany that I realized the little Christmas song, "Oh Tannenbaum", was German for Christmas tree, whoops. About 15 minutes from our house is a small family owned Christmas tree lot where the trees are cut 2-3 hours prior to purchase...and to sweeten the deal they even hand out steaming hot cups of traditional glühwein!
This sweet family is near and dear to me, partially due to the fact that I spent the majority of my summer with that little angel and his mamma while our husbands were deployed. There's nothing better than seeing a family reunited, enjoy!
